BotSupport uses the OpenAI API (essentially ChatGPT) to understand questions and generate helpful answers, combined with your website knowledgebase to keep responses relevant to your business.
We build the knowledgebase from an exported CSV of your products and existing website content (about, FAQs, shipping and returns pages, policy pages, blogs, guides), plus any extra sources you want to include such as PDFs or feeds. We then structure it so the chat can answer accurately and find the right page or product quickly.
Our AI Chat is different than others because we utilise a double-check mechanism where the AI suggest the right products based on your knowledge base and another ‘hard copy’ of your product database injects the title, product URL, product image, price and description for accuracy, resulting in no hallucinations.

Usually just: Your website URL, a user creating with limited privileges so we can securely export your product catalogue each month, what you want the chat to prioritise (sales, support, lead capture), where to send leads (email and/or webhook), and any rules or topics the AI should avoid.
A redesign usually does not break the chat, but we may need to refresh the knowledgebase if URLs, page structure, products, or policies change significantly. If you change platforms (for example moving from WooCommerce to Shopify), we’ll help you reinstall the chat and reconnect your data sources so everything stays accurate.
